Feb 22, 2016. /Lesprom Network/. Conifex Timber Inc. appoints Tom Reed to its Board of Directors. Mr. Reed has extensive background and experience in the forest products sector in the U.S. South, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

In 2015, Mr. Reed was Vice President of Resources in Plum Creek Timber Inc.'s Atlantic South region and oversaw sustainable forest management in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Virginia, and North Carolina.

Mr. Reed currently serves as Chairman of Forest Resources Association Inc. and on the boards of the Florida Forestry Association and Georgia Forestry Association, as well as on the Georgia-Alabama Land Trust board.

Conifex Timber Inc. and its subsidiaries' primary business currently includes timber harvesting, reforestation, forest management, sawmilling logs into lumber and wood chips, and value added lumber finishing and distribution.
