Sep 10, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. Following the retirement of managing director Philip Bell after 38 years’ service, Crendon Timber Engineering appointed Alex McLeod as its new managing director, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Alex McLeod joins Crendon Timber Engineering with wide-ranging expertise in green building products, having been managing director of St Gobain Isover and CEO of Superglass. Alex McLeod’s experience in growing markets for leading edge building products matches Crendon’s ambition to increase significantly its timber engineered roof and floors business.

“The market for engineered timber roof trusses has grown by 12% in the past year,” Alex McLeod comments. “Crendon’s sales have expanded well over and above market performance. With the agility to respond both locally and nationally to our housebuilding customers, we are looking to develop our reputation further as the developer’s first choice for timber engineered solutions,” he affirms.

Crendon Timber Engineering is one of the pioneers of trussed rafter production in the UK.
