Oct 31, 2006. /Lesprom Network/. Czech paper mill Olsanske papirny made audited net profit worth CZK 1.2 million ($54 005) in 2005, a drop from CZK 50.3 million ($2.3 million) a year earlier, says its annual report, obtained by CTK from the Commercial Register.
The company raised output by 1 995 tonnes to 81 100 tonnes of paper.
"Under considerable pressure to cut selling prices, mainly from foreign markets, this fact failed to affect revenues which fell CZK 53.2 million ($2.4 million) against 2004 to CZK 1.6 billion ($71 887)," the company said.
The board of directors added Olsanske's revenues had also dropped on weakening Euro and dollar rates to the crown, as well as on growing energy prices.
The company, owned by Brugg, produces graphic paper, packaging and office paper and paper bags.
