Rottneros AB (RROS.SK), the Swedish pulp producer, said it will raise the price of short-fiber chemi-termomechanical pulp to $560/ton and long-fiber CTMP pulp to $540/ton as of Feb 1. The price for northern bleached softwood kraft, NBSK, pulp is to be raised to $630/ton at the same time. The new prices are for customers in Europe. Rottneros didn't give comparison pricing figures. Rottneros has an annual production capacity of around 700,000 tonnes of pulp produced at four mills in Sweden and one in Spain, making the Group one of the largest suppliers of market pulp in the world. The Group also includes wood procurement companies in Latvia and Portugal as well as marketing companies in Germany and Belgium. The Group has a total of 835 employees and a turnover of approximately SEK 2.3 billion ($3,045 million).
