Jan 19, 2007. /Lesprom Network/. The new director general of the Slovenian state-run forest company Lesy SR, Jozef Mindas, resumed wood supplies at the level of the company's subsidiaries, which were halted after he took up the post, SITA reported. The company supplies 40% of the total volume of wood through its subsidiaries. The remaining part is supplied directly at the level of general directorate of the company. The director pointed out that favorable weather enables continued production including wood extraction. This means that volumes of wood supply planned for the following three months will be delivered without any problems. “Impatience of some buyers of wood ventilated in the media caused unnecessary nervousness in the wood-processing industry, since our goal are fair business relations. I believe that we are on a good way to reach them,“ said Mr. Mindas. As he explained, he halted wood supplies in order to get acquainted with the situation in the company.
