Nov 07, 2012. /Lesprom Network/. Double A and leading certification services provider Bureau Veritas Certification (Thailand) Ltd. have recently held a signing ceremony to formally kick off the verification of Paper from KHAN-NA as a sustainable source of fiber for paper production. The signing ceremony was held at Double A Book Tower (DABT) in Bangkok, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
The project's objective is to confirm the sustainability of Paper from KHAN-NA through an independent audit and procedures which are to be carried out by Bureau Veritas. This will give assurance to customers that all Double A products originate from well-managed sustainable sources and that the company has systems in place to track the raw materials throughout the production process.
Paper from KHAN-NA is a sustainable agro-forestry which utilizes the unused space around the paddy fields of more than 1.5 million farmers. Over the years, Paper from KHAN-NA has helped improve the livelihood of Thai farmers countrywide while providing Double A with sustainable fiber for its manufacture of pulp and paper.
