Egger creates building products division

May 25, 2011. /Lesprom Network/. Egger’s Brilon sawmill, Wismar OSB plant and Radauti OSB mill are being joined in a separate division – Egger Building Products – to combine marketing of the company OSB and solid wood operations, as TTJ reported.
With the completion of the Romanian mill in Radauti, the division will have 350 employees and a capacity of 500,000 cubic metres of timber and 660,000 cubic metres of OSB.
“We are providing the conditions for further broadening our expertise in the wood construction segment,” said Ulrich Bühler, Egger group manager sales/distribution.
By integrating product development, marketing and applications engineering for building products, Egger said it was ensuring a systematic development of the building products range.
