The company has told the online Fijilive newsagency the teak industry is set to become a major contributor to the local economy of the next 10 years.
The company's teak plantation is located at Mataso in the Rakiraki province. The company says its more lucrative than pine in terms of export sales and more durable than other timbers used in construction.
