Apr 04, 2007. /Lesprom Network/. Fraser Papers Inc. announced on April 3 the temporary shutdown of the company's paper machine (PM) №6 at its East papers operation, beginning April 7, 2007, due to weak market conditions. The company expects the shutdown to be two weeks in duration.
PM №6 has a production capacity of approximately 200 tonnes per day and produces primarily lightweight coated groundwood papers, which are used in magazines, catalogues and advertising inserts.
The company will complete planned maintenance work during the seasonably slow market period.
