Feb 14, 2006. /Lesprom Network/. French manufacturer of wood products for the wine industry Oeneo, formerly Sabate Diosos, announced a revenue of Euro 145.2 million for 2005, down 11% from 2004, according to Boursorama. The downturn was due to the lower performance of the group's bottle stoppers division, which marked a 22.9% in sales over one year. Oeneo reported a turnover of Euro 40.2 million for the fourth quarter of 2005, a 4.0% increase from the same period in 2004.
The 2005-2007 Phoenix plan for a strategic restructuring aimed to restore Oeneo's profitability enables the group to anticipate, for the first time in the last four years, a consolidated net result close to the breakeven level.
Oeneo (ex Sabate SAS), founded in 1939, offers wood-made products and services for the international wine market. The group makes wine oak barrels for vineyards and wine merchants; bottle stoppers for wines, champagnes and other sparkling drinks, and is also engaged in the production of wooden floors.
