Gomeldrev plans to complete modernization by 2010

Oct 24, 2007. /Lesprom Network/. Gomeldrev (Belarus) plans to complete modernization of production by 2010. According to company’s CEO Guennady Korotchenko, at present the company modernizes furniture production, acquires line for production of panel houses, installs additional dryer-rooms and renews sawmilling facilities.
The enterprise conducts negotiations about deliveries of equipment for MDF production from China. By 2010 MDF production should start operating at planned capacity. “Gomeldrev has reserve productive capacities which allows extending production at company’s own industrial sites”, CEO emphasized.
Gomeldrev is the largest wood-processing enterprise in Belarus. It’s engaged in sawmilling, drying, wood-processing, production of matches, plywood, mouldings and about 270 types of furniture. About 60% of production is exported to CIS countries and far abroad. In first nine months of 2007 export totaled $6.5 million. The enterprises also develops dealer net which realizes at present 70% of production.
