The Board of PaperlinX Limited announced that David Meiklejohn, AM will retire as a Director and Chairman of the Company on 31 August 2011 and Harry Boon will assume the role of Chairman effective 1 September 2011. “I indicated at the AGM last year that in accordance with our Board succession programme, I would retire in 2011 ahead of next AGM.” Mr Meiklejohn commented. “Now that the senior management transition has been bedded down by the Board and our CEO Toby Marchant has established his global management structure and team, I feel it appropriate for me to retire post the finalisation of the 2011 financial results and accounts”. Incoming Chairman Harry Boon said, “David Meiklejohn has served as PaperlinX Chairman since the Company’s listing 2000. Many important milestones have been achieved under his leadership and major changes have occurred in the Company and in the markets we serve.”
