May 11, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. Huhtaemaeki considers closing and relocating its main rigid packaging operations in Goettingen, Germany. The Finnish packaging group said the move is the second phase of its restructuring plan, announced in December last year. The Goettingen site also hosts the production of release papers for pressure sensitive applications but this activity remains unaffected by the negotiations, the company said. The total cost of the restructuring program will be Euro 46 million.
