International Forest Products Limited ("Interfor") has completed the acquisition of a timber tenure in the Kamloops region from Weyerhaeuser Company Limited following an extended period of regulatory review, company said in a statement received by Lesprom Network. The tenure represents an Allowable Annual Cut (AAC) of approximately 275,000 cubic metres and will help solidify the timber supply for the company's new Adams Lake sawmill which commenced full operations in April 2009. Interfor is one of the Pacific Northwest's largest producers of quality wood products. The company has operations in British Columbia, Washington and Oregon, including two sawmills in the Coastal region of British Columbia, three in the B.C. Interior, two in Washington and two in Oregon.
