Jan 20, 2006. /Lesprom Network/. International Forest Products Limited announced on Thursday January 20 that its Queensboro sawmill in New Westminster, British Columbia recommenced operations on January 17. The Queensboro mill - which started up in May 2005 following a $25 million rebuild – was curtailed in early December in the face of poor operating results. During the curtailment a number of equipment deficiencies were addressed and a revised operating plan was developed which the company believes will result in improved operating and financial performance. During the next three to six months the mill intends to conduct additional trials to confirm equipment performance and to determine the most appropriate operating configuration moving forward. The mill’s planer is scheduled to recommence operations on January 31.
