Italian paper making group Diatec posted a net profit of Euro 1.0 million for 2004 compared to Euro 700,000 for the previous year, L'Adige reported on August 18, 2005. The group reported an operating profit of Euro 3.8 million compared to Euro 2.7 million in 2003 and a pre-tax profit of Euro 2.4 million for 2004 versus Euro 1.6 million for 2003. Diatec registered earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of Euro 8.5 million in 2004 compared to Euro 6.0 million in the previous year. The group generated a revenue of Euro 88 million in 2004 compared to Euro 66.8 million in 2003. The number of Diatec's employees rose to 440 from 345.
