LP Names Brian Luoma Vice President, Procurement, Logistics and Supply Management
Luoma holds a Bachelor of Science in forestry from Humboldt State University and has completed the Executive Development Program at the University of Tennessee.
Sep 24, 2004. /Lesprom Network/. Louisiana-Pacific Corporation (LP) announced today that it has named Brian Luoma to the position of vice president, procurement, logistics and supply management. Luoma replaces Jeffrey Wagner, who recently was promoted to vice president, oriented strand board (OSB).
Luoma, who joined LP in 1987, previously held the position of northern region operations manager for LP's OSB business. In his career with LP, he has served as forester, log buyer and procurement and sales manager for LP's Samoa, California, pulp mill, and regional manager for LP's forest resources division. In 2002, Luoma was promoted to director of forest resources, forest resources division, where he was responsible for managing LP's forestlands and wood procurement activities.
"Brian brings strong leadership abilities and extensive experience in procurement to the position," said Curt Stevens, executive vice president of administration and chief financial officer. "We were very pleased to have an internal candidate of Brian's caliber ready to fill this critical position."
