Apr 12, 2013. /Lesprom Network/. Lampert Lumber has acquired Kooyman Lumber in Pella, Iowa, effective April 10, reported Doorcountyadvocate.

The Lamperts stores in Door County will not be affected and the Iowa business will continue to operate under the Kooyman Lumber name. The current staff will be retained, with Doug Kooyman as manager of their operation as a division of Lamperts. Lamperts/Kooyman will continue to deliver the products and expertise that builders, contractors and do-it-yourselfers in the Pella trade area have come to expect.

Family-owned Lampert Lumber has been in business since 1887, serving customers in Pella, Iowa and their surrounding communities.

Lampert Lumber currently owns and operates 32 full service lumber and building material stores in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota. There are three stores in Door County in Sister Bay, Sturgeon Bay and Washington Island.
