May 11, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. Witnesses gave their testimonies at the Ruzomberok (Slovakia) district court on Tuesday in the dispute between the company Mondi Business Paper (MBP) SCP, a.s. Ruzomberok and five former employees of this company. The court decided to adjourn the hearing until June 10, when it will continue with additional testimonies. In November of last year, the management of MBP SCP filed a libel lawsuit to protect its reputation against unjustified intrusion. The complaint concerns members of the former petition committee, who demanded higher wages in the company. MBP SCP demands their apology in three national media for alleged false information about wages in the company and SKK 20 million in compensation of damages. The company also wants the court to oblige members of the petition committee to refrain from statements for the media about wages of employees in MBP SCP.
