Liberty Carton acquires Smyth's display manufacturing division
Sep 08, 2005. Liberty Carton Company, a division of Liberty Diversified Industries, has acquired the St. Paul-based display manufacturing division of Smyth Companies, a manufacturer of point-of-purchase displays and a fulfillment service provider.

Liberty Carton Company, a division of Liberty Diversified Industries, has acquired the St. Paul-based display manufacturing division of Smyth Companies, a manufacturer of point-of-purchase displays and a fulfillment service provider. Additionally, Liberty Carton has formed a strategic sales alliance with Smyth, enabling current and new Smyth's customers to interact with their existing sales representatives.
"As a corrugated packaging manufacturer and producer of shipping containers, boxes and displays, we believe there is a natural complement of product offerings with the addition of Smyth Displays," says Liberty Carton General Manager, Steve Helmstetter. "We are excited we can bring the quality products of Smyth to our customers."
In addition to its Minneapolis and Brooklyn Park, Minnesota locations, Liberty Carton has manufacturing plants in Kansas City, Fort Worth and Mexicali, Mexico.
