MWV appoints Brent A. Harwood as Controller

Nov 16, 2012. /Lesprom Network/. MeadWestvaco Corporation (MWV) appoints Brent A. Harwood as Controller. Mr. Harwood will succeed John E. Banu, who is retiring after nearly 37 years with MWV, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
Mr. Banu and Mr. Harwood have worked closely together since Mr. Harwood joined the company as assistant controller in 2006.
Effective January 1, 2013, Mr. Harwood will oversee the company’s financial reporting and accounting processes to ensure that as MWV maximizes value and drives profitable growth, the company continues to provide excellent stewardship to shareholders and operates in full compliance with all reporting and regulatory requirements.
Prior to joining MWV, Mr. Harwood worked for 12 years in accounting and audit services for Deloitte and for five years as corporate controller with Cadmus Communications Corporation.
