Metso strengthens its presence in South East Asia by setting up a new company, Metso Vietnam Co., Ltd., in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Metso said in a statement received by Lesprom Network. The office will be shared by Metso’s all three segments, Paper and Fiber Technology, Energy and Environment Technology and Mining and Construction Technology. In the beginning, the office will employ one person, Mr. Phuoc Mac Cam, Sales and Administration assistant. The target of the new office is to strengthen Metso’s presence in SEA and Vietnam. The annual paper and board consumption in Vietnam is about 1.5 million tonnes and the population around 90 million.
