According to Anatoli Kazakov, the depositary took all the possible measures in order to provide steady work for the issuing organizations and deponents, the data that was stored on the server seized by the law enforcement officers was partially resumed.
As Lesprom.ru reported earlier, Moscow Central Depositary stopped operation for an undetermined term on July, 28 after law enforcement officers searched the depositary office and seized the server containing the data on the issuing organizations’ registers.
The searches in MCD offices were conducted in order to get hold of the information on the shares activity within Arkhangelsky register. ‘In spite of the official statement made by MCD on the voluntary transfer of the documents, law enforcement officers seized the server and the documentation containing the database and other essential data on the issuing organizations’ , according to the letter MCD director to the chief of the Federal register director Oleg Viugin.
Moscow Central Depositary is the institution within the Ministry of property registering the state-owned stakes within the companies. The depositary provides services to 3 million banking accounts of the shareholders and manages the registers of 1500 issuing organizations.
