Aug 16, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. Nemansky pulp and paper enterprise (owned by the North-West Timber Industry Company, Kalningrad region) started the production of a new paper type – TextilPerga. The paper is intended for textile industry and will be used as a protective layer. The design of the new paper type was initiated by NWTIC clients from Bangladesh and India. Textile industry is highly developed in South-East Asia, while the regional special paper production is underdeveloped. Nemansky carried out the order in several months. The tests of TextilPerga on South-Asian mills showed the high efficiency of the product. The effect is due to the usage of water-proof tar and specialized chemicals. TextilPerga is produced of 100% pulp. The tests also showed that the new paper does not raise dust, is flexible, resistant to high temperatures and rubbing. First lots of TextilPerga are highly transparent. 24 colors of paper are currently designed on the request of the clients. According to NWTIC commercial director Vadim Kharitonov, enterprises from China, South Korea and Taiwan already expressed interest in the new product. Technical parameters: mass – 40-50 gr/cub m, fat endurance – not less than 1800 sec, transparency – not less than 60%, whiteness – not less than 70%.
