New Forest policy to increase timber price in Angola

The deputy minister of Agriculture for Forest, André de Jesus Moda said that the current forest policy will increase the price of cubic metre of Angolan timber in the international market and will make it more rational and sustainable the exploration of forest resources, as Angop reported.
He said that the price of timber in Angola is $500 price close to Spanish and French market where the price of the raw material cost $960.
Studies from the Institute of Forest Development (IDF) pointed that Angola has a potential of more than 300,000 meters cubic of wood to be explored per year.
