May 12, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. Paperboard sales in Brazil grew by 5.3% year-on-year to 180,600 tonnes in April 2005, the Brazilian Corrugated Paper Association (ABPO) said. According to ABPO's head, Paulo Sergio Peres, the sales increase is in line with the projections for the sector's performance. The paperboard sales in Brazil in March 2005 increased slightly by 0.6% year-on-year and then Peres said the result was below the sector forecasts. According to ABPO, the sales of paperboard reached 677,700 tonnes in the period January to April 2005, up 2.2% year-on-year. Paperboard sales in Brazil climbed by 11.7% year-on-year to 2.107 million tonnes in 2004.
