Ponsse's consolidated net sales for 1 January – 30 September 2016 amounted to Euro 349.9 million, which is 12.8% more than in 1 January – 30 September 2015, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
The operating result amounted to Euro 37 million, compared to Euro 34.2 million in 1 January – 30 September 2015. The operating result equaled 10.6% of net sales for the period under review.
Consolidated return on capital employed (ROCE) stood at 27.6%. Order intake for the period totaled Euro 364.8 million, while period-end order books were valued at Euro 163.2 million.
President and CEO Juho Nummela said: “Demand for Ponsse forest machines continued to be good. Order intake was good during the 3Q and the order books were strong, totalling Euro 163.2 million at the end of the period under review. International business operations accounted for 77.4% of net sales.
The company's net sales for the 3Q 2016 were Euro 112.7 million and the growth in net sales was 8.8% compared with the 3Q 2015.
The operating profit for the 3Q amounted to Euro 10.8 million and for the first three quarters of the year Euro 37 million, representing an increase of 8.2%.
In terms of invoicing, the quarter fell short of the expectations with regard to both new and trade-in machines, which contributed to the increase in capital tied up in business operations. However, cumulative cash flow amounted to Euro 14.9 million”.
