The procedure is that a 3D-Scanner is installed in the log conveyor parallell to the sawline, which scans the logs with high resolution.

The logs are kicked off sideways to a buffer cross conveyor before the log infeed conveyor. When the log comes into the new log infeeder, 2 high resolution cameras recognize the logs from the scanning previous done in the 3D-scanner and turns the log to optimized position.
