RemaSawco AB launches version 2.0 of RS-Opt for saw lines. RS-Opt 2.0 has a more modern and user-friendly interface, it is also one of the components of the digital sawmill, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Some sawmills have already used test versions of the program with good results. RS-Opt 2.0 will now become the common ground on which all future development will be based.

RS-Opt 2.0 contains all the necessary functionality to optimize log infeed position as well as the sawing pattern. The next version (2.1) is already under development and new functionality will mainly be optimization for timber sorting. RS-Opt 2.1 is planned to be released in the 3Q 2019.
