Round timber-processing by Sokolsky timber-processing enterprise (Vologda region, Russia, owned by NTIC) increased 20% to 160.1 thousand cub m in January-June 2005 compared to January-June 2004, corporate public-affairs reported. Sawn timber production increased 18% to 70.1 thousand cub m, including sawn timber for export – up 9% to 32.1 thousand cub m. Sokolsky is the leading timber-processing enterprise in Vologda region. The enterprise specializes in the production of sawn timber for export, window and door units, glued, shaven and linear goods, houses of glued cant, as well as framework and panels, cement-shaven boards. The enterprise exports its goods to Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK, Austria, Italy, Baltic states, as well as sells goods on the interior market.
