The Rubizhne cardboard packaging plant (Luhansk region), a major producer of cardboard, has assembled and installed the German BHS facility for production of corrugated board, a representative of the plant has told Ukrainian News. He said that its installation would allow the plant to use less raw materials and to reduce waste to 5-7%. As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the plant began installation of the BHS corrugator at the end of 2002. With its help, the plant intends to increase its annual output of corrugated board to 100-130 million square meters. The plant increased production by 4.9% or UAH 10.889 million to UAH 232.124 million in 2002, compared with 2001. The net profits of the plant totaled UAH 34.647 million in 2001. That year, it boosted its output by 20% or UAH 36.833 million to UAH 221.235 million, compared with 2000.
