Rudolf Thummer to join Sappi Limited board

Sappi Limited, the global pulp and paper group, announced that Dr. Rudolf Thummer will join the Sappi Limited board with effect from February 1, 2010 as a non-executive director, following the retirements of David Brink and Dr. Franklin Sonn from the Sappi Limited board on December 31, 2009.

Sappi Limited, the global pulp and paper group, announced that Dr. Rudolf Thummer will join the Sappi Limited board with effect from February 1, 2010 as a non-executive director, following the retirements of David Brink and Dr. Franklin Sonn from the Sappi Limited board on December 31, 2009, the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network.
Dr. Thummer joins the Sappi board after having held senior executive positions in Sappi Limited, Sappi Fine Paper Europe and the Hannover Papier Group. He is a former group head technology and member of the executive committee of Sappi Limited and member of the executive board and technical director for Sappi Fine Paper Europe.
