The company’s earnings (with tax payments, interest and amortization included) increased 34% to RUR 123 million. In 2003 National Timber Industry Company capital investments increased 156% to RUR 150 million, compared with the prior period in 2002. National Timber Industry Company comprises Sokolsky timber-processing enterprise, Kipelovo timber industry concern, Severlesprom, Kirillovsky and Kovzhinsky timber mills (Vologda region), Ustiales (Arkhangelsk region), Ilyinsky timber mill (Karelia republic), Ulyanvosky timber enterprise (Ulyanovsk region). Russian National Timber Industry Company produces various assortments of round timber, sawn timber for export under Scandinavian and Russian standards, window and door units, glued, shaven and linear products, houses of glued logs, as well as framework, panel, cement-shaven boards, fuel briquettes and other goods. The company exports its products to Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK, Austria, Italy, Scandinavian countries, Baltic states, CIS countries, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Egypt and sells its products on the interior market.
