Russian pulp production increased 11,1% to 202 thousand tons (+3,7% compared with December 2003) compared with the prior period in 2003, State statistics committee reported. Cardboard and paper production reached 231 thousand tons (up 20,1% and 13,8% respectively). Sawn timber production increased 9,2% to 1,4 billion cub m (+14,9% compared with December 2003). Logs removal reached 11 million dense cub m (+11,6%), plywood- 174 thousand cub m (+0,9%), chipboard - 296 cond cub m (+22,5%).
