Jan 16, 2004. /Lesprom Network/. Russian Shuyales (Karelia republic) reduced timber exports 4% to 308,5 thousand cub m in 2003 compared with the prior period in 2002. Timber skidding was 293,8 thousand cub m (-18%), cross-cutting - 289,7 thousand cub m (-9%).
Commercial timber production declined 7% to 248,7 thousand cub m, round timber production - down 9% to 236,2 thousand cub m.
