Södra Timber acquires Trivselhus
Sep 03, 2009. Södra Timber has entered an agreement with Ittur AB regarding the acquisition of Ittur Prefab Industrier AB, which is the parent company of the Trivselhus group. The transaction will complete on 1 October following formal approval from the Swedish anti-trust authority and other parties.

The transaction will complete on 1 October following formal approval from the Swedish anti-trust authority and other parties, Södra reported.
“We are pleased that we have been able to finalise the deal and are looking forward to continuing to develop this fine company and brand,” said Peter Nilsson, President of Södra Timber and incoming Chairman of Trivselhus.
“I’m satisfied the acquisition is now underway as it secures the future for the company and its employees. Södra Timber is a strong company, which gives Trivselhus the strength needed to develop further,” says Johan Hansen, owner of the Ittur group.
Trivselhus is one of Sweden’s leading timber house producers with its head office in Korsberga, close to Vetlanda in southern Sweden. Production is predominantly in Korsberga and Landsbro. Trivselhus has 230 employees.
