Aug 03, 2009. /Lesprom Network/. Södra is raising its prices for bleached softwood pulp and bleached hardwood pulp (birch and eucalyptus) by 30 USD per ton. The new prices, which will apply from 1 August, are 690 USD for softwood pulp and 560 USD for hardwood pulp. Commenting on the price increase, Ulf Edman, President of Södra Cell International, said: "Balance on the pulp market has been improving steadily while global stocks have fallen to a very low level. At the same time, we see continued strong demand in Asia."
