Mar 30, 2006. /Lesprom Network/. Two months earlier as original planned, on 17 March 2006, SAICA’s new PM 10 went into operation successfully. The first paper with a basis weight of 90 g/mІ was wound at a speed of 1,030 m/min, Voith Paper reported. The entire paper machine, including the key components for the stock preparation system, is designed according to the “One Platform Concept”. An automation package as well as erection and commissioning are also part of the order, which was awarded in mid-May 2004. The PM 10, with a wire width of 8,550 mm and a design speed of 1,800 m/min, produces corrugating medium and testliner in a basis weight range of 75-145 g/mІ from 100 % recycled furnish.
