Nov 30, 2009. /Lesprom Network/. SCA’s Bollsta sawmill applied for new environmental permits from the County Government Board. The sawmill seeks terms that will allow for the long term development of the operations, the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network. “We need to know the terms for the operations in a future where production may be almost twice that of today and may be completed with further processing and more energy production”, says Katarina Levin, manager at Bollsta sawmill. “When and in which order the steps of this development will be taken, will be determined by the market development and our own strategic decisions. The individual projects must of course be evaluated and decided upon in due order.” Bollsta sawmill has a production capacity of 450 thousand cubic metres of Nordic pine solid wood products and a workforce of 140 employees and contractors.
