Feb 28, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. Iivari Mononen Oy and Metsä Group have entered into a contract of sale regarding the share capital of Burt Boulton & Haywood Ltd, a UK wood pole business. The sales is estimated to be completed by the 30th, June 2015, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Burt Boulton & Haywood Ltd are producers of creosote impregnated wood poles, railway sleepers and fencing timbers. The company’s main market areas are the UK and Ireland.

Burt Boulton & Haywood Ltd will continue to operate in Newport, Wales as a subsidiary company of the Scanpole group. The company will focus on producing creosote impregnated wood poles and by-products mainly to its current market areas. This business acquisition does not have any effect on the other companies within the Scanpole Group.
