Mar 21, 2014. /Lesprom Network/. Slovenia's total value of roundwood purchased in January 2014 amounted to Euro 3.5 million, which is on average about 16% lower than in the previous month. The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was lower by about 18%, of wood fuel by almost 12%, of pulpwood and other industrial roundwood by about 5%, as the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The value of roundwood purchased in January 2014 was on average 54% higher than the value of roundwood purchased in January 2013, mainly because more roundwood was purchased than a year ago.

The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was higher by about 48%, of pulpwood by 74% and of wood fuel by 127%. Higher was also the value of purchased other industrial roundwood (by about 38%).
