Southern Cypress Manufacturers Association elects Linwood Truitt as president
Members of the Southern Cypress Manufacturers Association elected officers for 2015 at the association’s Annual Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee. Linwood Truitt, Beasley Forest Products, Inc., Hazlehurst, Georgia, was elected president. Brian Meier, Cypress Rose Sawmill, Homerville, Georgia, was elected vice president.
Apr 22, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. Members of the Southern Cypress Manufacturers Association (SCMA) elected officers for 2015 at the association’s Annual Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee. Linwood Truitt of Beasley Forest Products, Inc. in Hazlehurst, Georgia, was elected president. Truitt has 35 years of experience in the sawmill industry. In 2000, he was responsible for introducing the manufacture of cypress and hardwood grade lumber at Beasley Forest Products, where he currently serves as general sales manager. Brian Meier of Cypress Rose Sawmill in Homerville, Georgia, was elected vice president. With nearly three decades of experience in the wood products industry, Meier has spent the last 17 years dealing exclusively with cypress. He has served as general manager at Cypress Rose Sawmill since 2009. The Southern Cypress Manufacturers Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of cypress building products to trade professionals and consumers.
