Tornator buys 7,500 hectares of forestland in Estonia
Tornator Eesti OÜ, the Estonian subsidiary of the Finnish forestry company Tornator Oyj, buys 7,500 hectares of forestland from the Swedish-owned AS Metsnik. With nearly 50,000 hectares of agricultural and forestry land in Estonia, Tornator is the country's largest private landowner.

of the Finnish forestry company Tornator Oyj, buys 7,500
hectares of forestland from the Swedish-owned AS Metsnik. With nearly 50,000
hectares of agricultural and forestry land in Estonia, Tornator is the
country's largest private landowner, as the company said in the press release
received by Lesprom Network.
Tornator Eesti OÜ grows
forests and sells harvesting rights to local buyers, mainly harvesting
companies. It provides work to five local employees and a number of regular
contractors. In 2014, the Estonian operations generated some Euro 1.8 million
in sales. Country Manager in Tallinn is Riido Rosin.
Tornator owns about
600,000 hectares of forestland in Finland, and in Romania the company manages,
besides the 12,000 hectares of its own forests, some 18,000 hectares of other
owners' forests.
