The stock listing is a part of the business combination agreement which was entered into in August 2012 with the purpose to, through two partial demergers, combine Munksjö AB’s business with Ahlstrom Corporation’s Label and Processing businesses in Europe and Brazil into Munksjö Oyj.
The first phase of the transaction was completed on 27 May, 2013 and the completion of the second phase is expected to take place by the end of 2013.
Munksjö will, after the completion of the second phase of the transaction, have approximately 3,000 employees and 15 production facilities in Europe, China and Brazil.
Munksjö has four business areas: Decor, Release Liners (previously named Release & Label), Graphics and Packaging and Industrial Applications.
