UPM Kymmene Docelles has once again chosen Voith Paper

Oct 28, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. UPM Kymmene’s Docelles mill in France, a producer of premium woodfree uncoated papers, has chosen Voith Paper to rebuild the existing paper machine №1. The rebuild will allow Docelles to improve the existing quality level and develop new grades as well as increase the output of the paper machine by up to 25%.
Voith will deliver a single NipcoFlex press section, its fifth Single NipcoFlex press section worldwide. The dryer section will be equipped with new stabilizers, ropeless tail threading system, hot air impingements dryer hoods and an integrated infra-red dryer. The new drive system “Voith Drive” is also part of the scope of delivery.
The rebuild will be completed during the summer of 2006. The speed will be increased from 925 m/min to 1.200 m/min and production capacity from 125 000 tonnes/year to approximately 150 000 tonnes/year.
