U.S. containerboard production down 1.2% in August
U.S. containerboard production in August 2014 was flat compared to July 2014 and 1.2% lower than August of last year. The month-over-month average daily production was also flat, owing to the same number of production days in July and August. The containerboard operating rate for August rose slightly to 96.2% from July’s 96.1%.

production in August 2014 was flat compared to July 2014 and 1.2% lower than
August of last year, as the American Forest & Paper Association said in the
press release received by Lesprom Network.
The month-over-month average daily production was also flat, owing to
the same number of production days in July and August. The containerboard
operating rate for August rose slightly to 96.2% from July’s 96.1%.
