U.S. kraft paper shipments down 5.4% in August
Sep 16, 2011. U.S. kraft paper shipments were 139.7 thousand tons, an decrease of 5.4% compared to August 2010. U.S. containerboard production was flat when compared to July 2011, as was the month over month average daily production, down just 0.3%.
Sep 16, 2011. /Lesprom Network/. U.S. kraft paper shipments were 139.7 thousand tons, an decrease of 5.4% compared to August 2010. Total inventory was 71.9 thousand tons, as the American Forest & Paper Association said in a press release received by Lesprom Network.
U.S. containerboard production was flat when compared to July 2011, as was the month over month average daily production, down just 0.3%. The containerboard operating rate for August 2011 was down 2.0 point over August 2010 to 97.5% and 0.3 points from July’s operating rate.
