Zhenghe HDF gears up production
The new Dieffenbacher CPS plant complements Zhenghe’s output range of MDF products that are produced on the Company’s existing multi opening line.
Sep 29, 2004. /Lesprom Network/. China’s industrious Eastern Shangdong Province is the home base of numerous of the country’s leading manufacturing companies. It has seen one it’s principal wood panel producers Dongying Zhenghe Wood Industry Co., Ltd. of Dongying City become one of the first in the Country to install a new generation Dieffenbacher continuous production system (CPS) for HDF.
This system is part of the development in the state of the art field of large capacity Hi -Tech plants which are now being established in the country’s wood based panel industries.
Dongying City and the surrounding Guang Rao Economic Development Zone, which are better known for their extensive oil fields, welcomed the development of the new HDF plant as an interesting diversion from the predominantly petroleum-based industries. This HDF operation sources its raw materials from the extensive poplar plantations along the nearby Yellow River Delta, from within an approximate 100 km radius from the plant.
The new Dieffenbacher CPS plant complements Zhenghe’s output range of MDF products that are produced on the Company’s existing multi opening line. These existing facilities also include a line for lamination. The first board was produced on the new CPS line in February 2004. Thereafter, the experienced Zhenghe Team in cooperation with Dieffenbacher specialists enabled putting the plant into continuous production in less than three weeks
Zhenghe had selected Dieffenbacher as the main contractor to manage the entire project, including the co-ordination with sub-suppliers. The equipment engineered and delivered by Dieffenbacher was comprised of the major components of the HDF plant package including gluing, flash dryer, air grading, fibre forming and a 9 ft x 8 m CPS Press System. This is followed by a raw panel cooling and handling system. The finished dimensioned panels, which are cut-to-size by a book saw and sanded, are transported via an automated STS Stack Transport System.
Plant output covers the full range of HDF products down to a minimum thickness of 2.0 mm at a maximum line speed of 1,200 mm / sec.
