Feb 02, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. Ust-Ilimsky project and reconstruction started the preparation of Ust-Ilimsky timber industry enterprise modernization (Irkutsk region, owned by Ilim Pulp). The modernization will raise bleached market pulp production capacity of the enterprise by 26% to 630 thousand tons/yr (500 thousand tons are produced annually at present). The quality of pulp will increase, the consumption of wood chips and pulp bleaching chemicals. Austrian Andritz will supply equipment for reconstruction of the 2nd boiler, Finnish Metso Paper will supply sorting and washing equipment for the production of non-bleached pulp.
