Andritz receives Viennese Stock Exchange Award

On the occasion of the Viennese Stock Exchange Award 2009, international technology Group Andritz was again honored for its comprehensive Investor Relations activities. In the main category, the ATX Prize, which is awarded to companies that are part of the leading index of the Vienna Stock Exchange for their work in the Austrian capital market, Andritz was second, after winning in this category last year, the company reports.
The assessment criteria included: financial reports (e. g. depth of information and clarity of annual and quarterly reports), Investor Relations activities (e. g. completeness of the flow of information, availability, readiness to hold roadshows, information in the web), strategy and business management (clarity and detailedness of strategy, accuracy of forecasts, risk indications, credibility of the management), and market-related factors.
The Andritz Group has won several awards for its Investor Relations activities, including prizes for special achievements in the areas of Corporate Governance und Investor Relations Online. As Wolfgang Leitner, President & CEO of Andritz AG, says: “The many awards recognize and confirm our extensive and long-term Investor Relations activities which we perform for retail and institutional investors alike.”
This year’s Viennese Stock Exchange Award was conferred jointly for the second time by Aktienforum (Austrian Association of Share Issuers and Investors), C.I.R.A. (Cercle Investor Relations Austria), Österreichische Nationalbank, ÖVFA (Austrian Association for Financial Analysis and Asset Management), VÖIG (Association of Austrian Investment Companies), the Viennese Stock Exchange and the Government’s commissioner for the Austrian capital market. The award winners were selected by a panel of judges of ÖVFA, with capital market experts from leading investment houses in Austria taking part in the assessment.
